is there a way to tell the 247 and 249 apart? im just going to go to the wreckers and look around for everything, and would you know of any write up's or how to's by any chance?

so i have a 89 xj, and i wanted to throw in the t-case and front axle and all that and make my jeep a awd, does anyone recommend any tips? and what is a complete list of parts i would need to do this

yea i was thinking a later model such as a 94+ motors but still have the 89 door handle panel

so i currently have manual locks and windowsin my 89 xj. i was planning on converting my xj to power, i was just wondering if anyone here has done that and if they ran into any problems, and could provide a complete part list of everything i will need to get.

so im in need of a major wheel alignment and the shops around here are charging up to $80 for a wheel alignment!:shocked: would it be easier to do it myself? and if so any tips on how to do it properly?

are you sure? because i already checked all the wiring and connections twice and they seem to be right

im not sure if this is the section to be posting in but, i have a remote starter installed in my 89 xj 4L auto, and recently its been acting really weird, it would start up, die, then start up, and continue that cycle until i put the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position. And...

hmm, but there is quite alot of this green fluid stuff, all over the starter/transmission/engine bay after noticing this hose??

so is this suppose to be like that then?

so i had some issues with my starter and after fixing it, i noticed this hose dangling down that wasnt there from before and i was wondering if anyone here knows what its from? and its a 89 xj and as u can see its right by the starter on the right side of the vehicle

i dont think it could be the alternator, but i would definately take a good look to see just incase, i also checked the starter and there was a fair amount of oil and the nasty green crap all over it

filled the coolant bottle up, and i tried to start it up, but it sounds like grinding now, could that be the starter? im guessing it is

i checked my distributor cap and rotor, and all that seems fine, but when i popped the hood i noticed my radiator overflow tank was empty, and there was the green liquid all over the engine compartment would that be what was wrong?

so last night i was driving home and i started to hear a strange sound coming from the passenger side of the engine, it sounds like scratching, or when a cd skips, and i have no idea wat that is any suggestions?

i checked everything under there already and it all seems good and the only thing i noticed was this little clamp thing on the right rear leaf that has fallend out of place, ill take a picture later to show you what im talking about

So i've had this problem for quite some time and lately ive gotten really annoyed with it. Basically whenever i shift into reverse there is a clump in the right rear side, and sometimes when im stopping or slowing down i can feel that clump, i also get this clump when i make wide turns going...
