    GC WJ rear grab handles

Hi guys, I like the look of the GC rear grab handles with the light, out of a WJ. I was wondering if anyone has done this mod and/or if it is plug & play in an XJ. I have no junk yards around me, it's all ebay theses days for me. Thanks for your help in advance. Steve...

    Breaker Yard around Miami

Hi guys, I'm off to a family wedding stateside next week and thought  (or rather hope/pray) that I will have the time to drop into a breaker yard around the Davie - Miami area in Florida. So I was hoping to know if there are any yards near where I'm staying and if so, the best one to...

    Under Hood Light Wiring Location

Thanks for the offer 8Mud, I'll see how things develop with what I've got. I use to have a oem roll up cable when I bought the Jeep back in '06, but it wasn't connected to anything. After further inspection as to why the reel wasn't pulling out, I opened the thing up and found the cable & reel...

    Under Hood Light Wiring Location

Cheers 8mud, but wouldn't you be driving a LHD in Germany? :dunno: I'll have another snoop around the firewall for that red wire. Didn't see anything when I looked the 1st time or 2nd time...but my wife tells me I can be blind at times....

    Under Hood Light Wiring Location

Hi All, I'm trying to work out the location for the wiring going to the under hood light. I've come across this wiring with plug - 2x wires which are purple with a stripe. Not sure if this is for the hood light and just requires a patch lead to hook it up or if I'm barking up the wrong tree...

    Ignition switch burnout

Thanks for the reply 87manche. Well I took another day off work -the sun was shining bright:sunshine: Pulled everything out again, retraced my steps for the 3rd time...and got lucky! Looking at the chilton's again, I realised I had read the switch arrangement for the rod backwards:doh: When the...

    Ignition switch burnout

I had the classic ignition switch burn out on my jeep before christmas. Ordered the parts (ignition switch & starter relay) from Rock Auto, waited until the weather was good in o'l London & replaced said components yesterday. Besides being a pain in the proverbial to replace the switch...

    Removed Head Liner/Board

You could try installing a sound bar from an earlier model xj - 1992-96, which has the speakers enclosed.:listenmus I'm assuming you have 'cut' the speakers out of your 2000xj headboard

    ZJ Shifter Handle

Thanks for the quick reply and the link. I'll try heating it with a hair dryer tomorrow to see if it will slide down some more, good to see someone else (go-jeeep) has experienced something similiar:scared:

    ZJ Shifter Handle

I popped the ZJ shifter handle on my xj yesterday - had a little help from a rubber mallet and all went well. Shifted in all gears - except, it won't go back into Park! Comes out of Park with the push of the button, just won't go back into Park with the push of the button. I was wondering if...

    New headliner and overhead console

I just did it a couple of days ago. Not hard, just time consuming. I did it on my own - would really help to have a buddy assisting though... The old lining will just about fall off once you take the headline board out - then spend the next 10-20 minutes sanding and/or brushing the old glue...

    Pedal Box

Thanks Monster3663 for the photo. Confirms I definately don't have a manual box Might be able to mount it below the brake switch i guess (if i put the brake switch into its correct location) with a piece of bracket - good idea Kastein I'd really like to know what that white switch is for. I...

    Pedal Box

Now i'm even more confused:confused1 I did alot of research for this, hence why i chose the '96 as it is "plug & play" apparently. The threads i came across said it was the easiest way to go. Did i get a manual brake pedal box? Is there a difference between an auto & manual pedal box? I...
