Not on here much anymore....except for some browsing. No Jeep or 4x4 anything at the moment... 😕
Figured I'd throw this on here to see if anyone's interested.
Have a brand new Eaton E-locker for 3.73-up ratios. This is the 30 spline version, not the 27. All wiring/etc is there....all brand new...
Sold both xj's a while back....currently not "doing Jeep stuff", probably won't be for some time.
Figured I'd post this up here, in case anyone was in need.
Have a good, used Alabama Cyl Head/Promaxx 0331 "improved" casting head. It was installed on a WJ about 3 years, and around 25-30k ago...
99-up intake with the ps pump/tensioner bracket/pulley and all the bracket bolts(no intake bolts, just the 6 bracket bolts).
intake is bare, no injectors, tb, etc.
no cracks or stripped threads.
$115 for all.
i personally know one person who pulled a tranny cooler line off while wheeling(didn't realize it) and drove it until it had no more "go."
fixed the line, filled it back up, and drove it for at least another year that i know of....it was just fine.
i seem to recall at least a couple people on...
this is pretty good advice. especially on a renix, where every relay in the vehicle is the standard "5 pin bosch type" relay.
going to start doing this myself. 👍
well......interestingly, i'm definitely not getting anything out of the tcu going down the #3 solenoid wire. now i just have to figure out why.
another strange thing....while i was out driving around checking for voltage on that wire, when i stopped at a light and took off again, the...
exactly where my thinking was.....and now is.
haven't had a chance to go for a drive and see if i'm getting voltage out of the tcu to the #3 solenoid, and if so-WHAT voltage.
just for fun, here's what the inside of a tcu looks like. the four larger transistors ARE connected to the case, but i...
the pins all look good, tight....clean.
just to double check-the tcu case itself does not need to be grounded/bolted down? i have the lower part of the dash off, and the tcu simply sitting on the floormat for now.
i've checked the grounds, power in, and solenoid resistance from the tcu...
ok, checked there.....good too.
seems i've been chasing my tail with the black wire on the tranny side of the white plug; going over the aw4 fsm, that wire is simply the speed sensor ground back up to the harness-there should not be continuity to ground TOWARD the trans.
i soldered the...
i have refreshed both the trans connectors by the firewall-no change in anything.
after the severely bumpy road the other day, the tcc worked properly for the rest of the day. i checked the resistance on the B terminal of the light colored plug near the firewall as soon as i got home. between...
i have checked the switch on the pedal(actually pulled it, cleaned, and reassembled the last time i had issues). it is currently still making/breaking contact when it should.
and yes, the tps ground registers as basically open between the plug and the battery terminal.
i'm using the...
