I learned tha hard way on my 89 that just because the brake lights come on when i step on the brake, does NOT mean that switch is adjusted properly. I used a scanner to see when the switch told the trans that the brake was NOT applied. im sure a DVOM can be used to adjust it as well.

how long has it been broken? Have you considered a new expansion valve or accumulator? If you dont know what hese things are, i wouldnt suggest that you fool with the A/C anymore.

do yourself a favor and do a search for the power lock upgrade. i had the same issues with the power locks in mine, and after troubleshooting the issue down to a lack of voltage, i rewired a few more relays into the deal and all is well now.
