I have done research myself because I want the tranny to hold up to 300-350 hp. Not that I'm getting 300-350 from a 4.7 but it should hold up well for what i'm doing "25-30% pavement and 70+% off-road. After searching and reading how others have did there own mod's on there own and some failed...
Here is a couple of pic's of what i did....... less turns/bent.. used an elbow and seal up the front of the box.. no issues with tire rubbing on tube like safari snorkels...
I would love too, but birthday is friday the 9th and wedding saturday! I would rather be wheeling then going to a wedding that i really don't want to go! My son now13 did the sanding and painting with just alittle help from me on the top! getting him ready! this winter we are stroking...
I haven't posted for awhile, with family and health issues of late. but been able to do some work on her. No more blue, with one tooo many flops, it was time... this one i was going to run tj flares but went different route. Need too get out soon!
also, the tire could contribute to the leak as well. My nitto's had some heavy ribbing on the inside of the tire that lays on the surface of the weld area that I had to sand down. I also laid a bead of black silicone and haven't look back. Wheel the hell out of it and drive it on the road...
