    Fight the oil Devils

Hey guys, it has been a while since I have been on good ol NAXJA, but I need help with something. I don't know if this has reached here yet but someone started something that I believe could have a huge impact on the oil companies if the word is spread as far as possible. Basically just don't...

    Air filter test.....

Hmmm....I would say that those "tests" were performed by GM (or a related company). There is no way that AC-Delco could be the best in all aspects of air filtration. I won't dispute the fact that Delco parts are usually quite good, but they aren't by any means perfect, as that test seems to...

    98 Dodge Stratus, R-134?

IIRC anything over around 1990 is R-134. I don't know the exact year the government mandated R-134, but I am 90% sure your 98 should have r 134.

    Transfer CAse Linkage

I haven't tested it yet, but I cut and sleeved one of the linkage rods so I can adjust the length ( about 5/8" - 3/4" total adjustability). I am not sure if that fixed my problem or not, as I don't have 4wd due to lack of a front d shaft and I haven't installed the new shift linkage. If you...

    Amc 360

If there is someone at your local AutoZone that knows what they are doing, they should be able to get torque specs from the computer for the majority of motor related items. Also, even though they suck, Haynes manuals have torque specs for almost everything.

    More V8 swap questions

The Toyota axles are pretty strong. They used the 8 inch in all the pickups, up to 1 ton, so I am not really worried about the axles being to weak. That and why go try to find something else that I might have to narrow when my brother has like 4 sets of Toyota axles. Also, consider the area in...

    More V8 swap questions

Well, I finally got the 350 that is going into the MJ and have a few questions. First off, I am getting a TH-400 that I believe was behind an AMC V8 so I know I need a bellhousing adapter. It has an adapter on the tail to bolt up a Dana 20 T-case. I am getting the 20 with the tranny and was...

    Red Top vs Yellow Top

The Blue top is by far the best but at almost 200 clams it is a bit pricey. I run a yellow top and it works great. Long story made short I worked the crap out of it trying to start the ol' MJ, took it out to start a 350 IROC, got that started, took the batery out and dropped it in a Berlinetta...

have you reflared a hard brake line after it is cut?

Exactly, take some time and make sure the tool and dies are lined up well with the brake line, and have it clamped really tight. I used one to make a bubble flare for a customer (yeah I work at AZ) and it came out perfect. Oh and if you rent a tool from AZ make sure all the parts are there...

    350 cooling question......

I will find the address of sella cooling for you guys at work today. The mods that I plan on doing to the 350 are as follows: Its a center bolt 350 out of an 88 IROC and I want to put a edlebrock performer rpm intake, cam kit and an edlebrock carb. I am thinking about upgrading the ignition...

    350 cooling question......

Cool, I think I will be alright with the "stock" 3 pass radiator. The fans I plan on using move alot of air. I am also going to use a heavy duty water pump. Oh and while we are on the subject of radiators, Sella Cooling is having a blow out sale on 91-98 XJ radiators for only $53 and change...

    350 cooling question......

I have searched and thought and searched dome more, but need one question answered. I have found alot of info that helped firgure out the bolting in of the motor, but I was wondering if a 3 row radiator (meant to fit my MJ) would give sufficent cooling to a 350. I plan on running dual electric...

    Giving Wal-Mart the Finger...

Thank God that Walmarts auto section is dwidling. I work at Autozone and Wal-mart is even "trying" to hurt our business. I had one guy come in looking for blue washer fluid by the case. He said he would rather buy from walmart because thier price was 9 cents cheaper. This guy was the perfect...

    Wierd story

Yeah, I questioned the CPS also, but had nor the ambition to lay in slush to change it where it sat (for obvious reasons), letting it get put on a flat bed (way too pruod of Jeeps), or cutting a hole in the floor to access the CPS ( who wants to hack a nice floor up?).

What the story how you got your xj/mj?

My 88 YJ crapped out and I found a MJ/XJ set for $900 (88 MJ, now my DD, and a 91 XJ that was beat hard). Bought them both, the MJ wihtout a tranny. I then scavenged the BA 10/5 and the rims from the YJ and sent the XJ to the scrap yard (had a beat 4.0 auto combo). I blew the rear end shorty...

    Wierd story

Well, to start of my jeep died about three weeks ago. I had it parked right next to the dumpsters where I work, which are fenced in with heavy metal and wood. The (approximatly 250 lb.) doors where swinging open today due to high winds. After having one break my side mirror and dent my door I...

    state inspections

the sniffer tests don't work like that. If you got 0 emissions it just means that you were below the limits of emissions. the only way to get absolute 0 emissions is to run on hydrogen ( only byproducts are water and oxygen).
