The rubber hose in the tank was replaced when the second pump was, so thats new.
The voltage is a healthy 12v when the pump primes, and its around 6v when the engine is running.
The ballast is in use and intact.
The bottom of the tank looks brand new.
When my tank gets to 1/2, I fill it...
So just FYI...
The Bosch p/n 69302 pump that I replaced in my post #7 with another 69302 is dying on me just like the last one did.
Two years on the first replacement Bosch 69302, and one year and one month lifespan on this one. :badpc:
Any ideas? Is is just my dealer or does Jeep not stock...
My AW4 started shifting early today. Here are the symptoms.
-Shifts quickly into 3rd gear by 30mph
-Wont downshift (passing gear) for whatever gear Im in. (Say, if im in 2nd and floor it, it will stay in 2nd and slowly accelerate)
-OD still hits at 45mph, but wont disengage unless I either hit...
It seems as though its just the frame that is rusting. So do I just remove the trim from the inside and push the window out? Then Im guessing I can replace the frame as a whole when the window comes out??
How do I remove the trim behind the back windows above the 4x4 badge? Mine is rusting and I need to remove and fix it.
My pic for reference, its the plastic ribbed thing above the 4x4 logo.
Looks like its leaking from where the manifold meets the downpipe. The bolts holding them together are loose and leaking from that gasket. The manifold does not look cracked.
Tow hooks and skid plates give you a good chance of having the package. Too bad all XJ springs sag over time, so you really cant measure to see the 1 inch lift.
So now its ticking while in park and revving too. I pulled the inspection plate and all the flexplate bolts are tight. So since its now ticking in park and drive, its most likely an exhaust leak. I am smelling faint exhaust from the engine bay now too. Its just a matter of narrowing it down to...
Hmm. Mine makes no noise in gear on the brake either. I had to floor it to get into traffic the other day, the rpms were about 3800rpms for a good couple seconds. Thats when the noise started. No ticking in park or neutral, or in gear on the brake. Only in gear accelerating between 1500 and 2000...
Hey man!
I read your thread, and im glad you fixed your problem. But one thing...isnt the loose bolt problem only make a sound when youre in park or neutral? Mine only makes noise in gear accelerating with the engine between 1500 and 2000 rpm.
So when the noise only happens in drive and accelerating, its the manifold? No noise in Neutral or Park revving.
The noise sounds like a playing card in bicycle spokes, while accelerating above 1500rpms...
What would cause a light ticking right near my feet while accelerating, but when I rev the engine in park or neutral, the tick is gone. Also when I coast in gear there is no ticking, only accelerating in Drive.
It only happens in gear, with the engine over 1500rpms and accelerating.
If I am...
