    Are XJ and TJ Front Bump Stops the Same?

    So here's the weird thing: I bought MetalCloak TJ bump stops to install in my XJ and they didn't fit. As in, they were about 1/2" larger in diameter and wouldn't press in. I emailed MetalCloak and they said XJ and TJ bumpstops are different. I'm confused.

    Do XJ's and TJ's use the same front bump stops? Energy Suspension lists the same part number for TJ's and XJ's, but other manufacturers list different part numbers. I spoke to two vendors: one said they're the same, one said they're different. Who's right?

    Deep, Bassy Rumble Only at Very Low Speed

    I’m getting a very deep rumble at low speeds (low speed, not RPM) that sounds like a really mean subwoofer blew out. All new wheel bearings, newish motor mounts, no front driveshaft. Sound goes away after about 5mph and is independent of RPM. 4.0 5spd manual 4wd 1996. Any ideas what it might be?

    Way ahead of you. I ground a Barnes waggy/XJ truss to fit a HP f250 D44. I have some generic tracbar brackets coming Monday. I picked up some 1.5” DOM and Johnny Joints at a local fab shop. Planning to swap the rear Saturday morning and start on the front that afternoon.

    No Start After Welding, Fuel Gauge Not Working. I'm seriously confused.

    I‘m suspicious of this being a coincidence tbh. At least two things failed, possibly 3, immediately after welding. The Jeep is maintained immaculately and has never broken down. I know it seems strange, but that’s just a really big coincidence.
