    ebrake cable for Ford 8.8

Any idea how long the KJ or D35 cables are? This is not going in my Jeep. Maybe I just need to go to pick-n-pull with a tape measure.

    ebrake cable for Ford 8.8

Anyone know where I can get ebrake cables for an exploder 8.8 that are 60" long? When I bought my axle it came with cables but one is too short and one is too long. Thanks

    Over 50 MPG!!

Cool bike Chuck. One nice thing is that if there is a traffic jam then there is no problem. I sometimes envy those who ride when I am sitting on the 580 parking lot of the 99 south parking lot.

    Ford 8.8 axle shaft length

I searched but could find the right info. Anyone know of a website with a chart of the shaft lentghs on a Ford 8.8? I got mine out of a 99 explorer if it matters and at this point I would rather not take it all apart to measure the shafts. Thanks.

    OK. Here's my thought.

I had a HP 44 with the castings. I cut them off between the casting and the center section. I then inserted a tube into the existing tube (turned to the right OD so that it was a press fit) and the slid another tube over the smaller one and pressed it up against the stock tube. Checked for...

    Now this is different:

Sorry, I didn't mean to be misleading. I meant that the grid that my house is on- i.e- My local utility comany uses hydro, diesel, natural gas, and wind. Half of those sources are emission free. Funny thing about the wind generation. Anybody who has driven on 580 from the central valley to...

    Now this is different:

Spoken like the truly ignorant. Is all electricity emission free? No. The grid that we are on uses diesel, hydro, natural gas, and some wind. Half of the sources are emission free. Even if you are on a 100% coal and you had an EV, the emissions emitted by the amount of power generated to run...

    Now this is different:

What is not to get? He built an EV out of his Jeep. What is hard to figure out about that? I read his website quite a while ago and I thought it was really good. Here he had a Jeep with 410,000 miles on it and on it's second engine. He had the desires and the intellect to turn it into an EV...

Custom Width HP44 Build and Tech

Looks great. One thing to mention is your lower shock mounts. I did the same mounting position on my HPD44 and it put my shocks at a bit of an angle because the lower mount was further forward than the upper mount. This caused one of my nice new $100 BBCS shocks to blow out and bend a shaft...
