I've come across a lot of broken coil springs on the rear of the "exploder". I deffinately wouldnt use one for towing. Also look up explorers on wikipedia and click on "u-haul trailers" (its somewhere on the list) apparently u-haul wont even rent a trailer to an explorer owner...
Ok, so i went and looked at the truck after i got off work today. dana 60 in the rear (good news) and the front is open knuckle disc brake. now do i need reverse cut? how do i know? sorry for the n00b questions. i just want to get this right before i go through the trouble of pulling this heap...
I am planning on going with full width axles under my 2000 xj. I see a lot of guys going with 1976ish f150 d44 and a 9in. I came across a Guy at work that has a 76 f250 for free. Would the 250 axles work just the same as an f150?
ive had my 4.5 lift for about 4 years now, the shocks are crap, but i didnt opt for the good ones. i did however get a jks track bar. all in all i dont reall have any complaints. customer support is totally awesome. i was missing some hardware and they overnighted the stuff i needed with no hassle.
you could just put a jet engine in it... but i think that rebuilding the 4.0 would be a little more cost effective and probably more reliable off road.
