Shop wants $850 an axle to regear....

~$250 for gears and bearing kits, plus it's usually ~$325 for the install. So ~$575/axle would be an average price around here.

    2001 3.5 super ride shifting?

Start with the upper shock mounts. Make sure they are tight and not sliding back and forth on the bar pin. Make sure the U-bolts are on right and tight. Any noise on mine has always been a warning that I needed to tighten the u-bolts more. They do stretch.

    relay for Ford Taurus fan

Go to autozone and get a starter relay for an 89' ford crown vic v8. It's about a 100amp relay, 4 prong. Works like a charm. Been running it for two years, and I use high speed all the time to get my a/c blowing really cold on hot days : )

A/C blowing hot only when it is hot and humid

condensor fan? if it's not moving air then the freon doesn't get warmed up and it will freeze the evaperator coil.

Aussie in the front and open in back?

Either way will require a bit of getting used too. What's better depends on who you ask

    a/c question

Put a better fan on the condensor, makes a good difference. The cooler you can get the freon in the condensor, the cooler you will get the air going through the evaperator in the cab.

    3-1/8" U-bolts on D35 ??

If it's an 01', I would think you would have the chrysler 8.25. In which case the U-bolt size would be quite larger. My kit came with the u-bolts for a D35 too, had to get some made locally on short notice to finish my install

    Rubi Flares on a XJ

Foam pool noodle painted black Oh, and nice job. I've got regular TJ rear flares up front on mine. Love them.

It's NOT the flexplate...what is causing this sound?!

I had a noise like that, I had just installed a new clutch and an inertia ring on the flywheel so I was super worried. Ended up just being the exhaust pipe rattling on my crossmember, it would only do it when I gave it gas and the engine torqued to the side a little. Much relief that was...

How many miles? The cps won't let it spark if the crank timing is off, did they check the timing chain?

    Bias Tire Question

I've got 34x10.50 LTB's, they are loud, they don't handle very well, and they are soft rubber. In other words, don't put them on a DD unless you are not bothered by a rough wobbly ride and don't put too many miles on it. As for the size thing, wide tires look cooler, but other than adding...

Using Taurus Fan on a 2.5L

I've got a T fitting from Lowes plugged into the stock location on the thermostat housing so I can keep the stock sensor for my dummy lights. I know 150* is too cold, that's why I never use the high speed. And it's not a 4.0 :P
