this is the nss that's on the passenger side of the trans. Most of the threads i've looked at say that the switch needs to be adjusted so that the reverse lights work, however no matter which way i turn the switch, or how far, the lights stay on. Some come with a neutral standard line on them...

I understand it should be adjusted in neutral to line up with the neutral standard line, but there are no lines on the new switch, so i thought i would try someone elses suggestion of adjusting while in reverse and taking note of where the lights come on and where they go off, but they don't go...

www.stockinteriors.com They had a nice price last time I checked, i think they have vinyl too. I plan on sealing mine up with something like the durabak, looks good by the way, and then putting some carpet or vinyl on top of that for sound reasons. My fuel pump whines like a banshee!

if it were an xj, i would suggest the tps or tv cable adjustment. I'm not real familiar with the 89 pioneer, i'm working from the 96' xj view.

took mine out and rid myself of the crap cloth that kept falling down. Stiffened it up with fiberglass cloth and resin, then painted it, BUT, the paint has started to peal and crack. I'm going to pull it back out and use some herculiner or something on it...................and hopefully never...
