My front output is squealing and has an alarming amount of wiggle in it. Time for a rebuilt, new chain and to finally get off my arse and install the SYE I bought so long ago. I need to order a chain and rebuild kit, and was wondering if anyone knew where to get a good one with quality bearings...
I went through 2 or 3 sets of those exact bar pin adapters before giving up and fabbing my own steel mounts. In the end the real problem was getting my bump stops set to where the shock wasnt the stop. But then with 35's OP probably wont have the problem. Tire will be the bumpstop. :D
Our crew is all running the iro long arm and are fairly happy with it. One of the guys bought the kit with 2 single arms and made his own third upper for a true 3 link. It seems to work well so far.
we go there from time to time as well. Looks like alot of fun. I have those same 8.5" fox on my rear. getting ready to 4link the rear now with 14" coilovers into the cab :)
got it installed today. Very smooth. If I wasn't really trying to notice it I couldn't even tell it was in there.
Also do you know of a lunchbox locker for a LSD 8.8?
IMO if you are going to go to the trouble of doing a motor swap use a better engine. a Chevy 4.8 or 5.3 would be my First choice for a V8. 2nd choice and I may do this just to be different would be a 4.2 or 3.7 Atlas I6 and I5 respectively.
The rest sounds like fun! What do you plan to do with...
