Any temp senders/sensors, use MOPAR, not autozone crap.

Don't trust the mechanic on temp. These run hotter than normal cars anyway, so their "hot number" might be normal. ...change the temp send unit with a MOPAR brand. NO NO NO autozone senders.. trust me... did the same thing you did.... threw parts at a "mystery" overheat.... TWO BTW sending...

I've had the Oreilly version in my 92XJ for 1 year. no problems at all.

I'm 1 year onto an O'reilly one, $99 and no problems so far.

Since tranny down, I replaced my Torque Converter at the same time.... made sense, just a little extra money. Also, replace the rear freeze plug, since you'll have access if you fully remove the tranny. Lots of threads on this subject.

I used pliers and a smaller hammer to bend back into shape. I managed to get them pretty straight. Slow, minor bends will get it close to normal. But as said before, only a dust shield.
