Many have gone to cutting out the rockers and installing 2x 1/4' wall tube search rocker replacement and there are tons of threads about it

.40 in the correct caliber has nearly the stopping power of .45 but much easier to keep on target. Try to keep a 3.5" barrel .45 auto on a target for more than 1 shot. its easy with the .40
