PM sent, Thanks! It's an odd problem, done a bunch of searching and found nothing. Pretty sure that the CPS is good. The Jeep got a new motor and ran fine for 3 weeks, then the battery died. Replaced the battery and then the ground strap at the firewall got hot and melted 2 vacuum lines...

I have 2 speedometer gears, a 35 tooth (part# 52067635) and a 37 tooth (part# 52067637). Both are used but in good condition. Both are the "short shaft" for '93-'01 XJs and up to '06 TJs. ~$25 each There is a chart to see what speedo gear works for each tire/axle ratio combo here...

There is a WJ with a complete front axle at the Denver U Pull and Pay. Brakes, knuckles, exc. Everything is there for those of you looking to do the WJ knuckle swap.
