    Expedition Trophy

I just read their site, a team consists of 2 vehicles and 2 people per vehicle, so 4 people and 2 trucks. That's awesome. I'm sure we could figure something out. I know my rig is to small but it sounds sweet, especially these parts: Roll Cage or Hard Top (Roll Cage Strongly Recommended!)...

    Upgraded cooling system still overheating?

Bleeder screw? Any certain brand? I've never heard of it on a t-stat

    Upgraded cooling system still overheating?

They actually hooked me up with two fan controllers for the triple fan kit, and it seems to blow a heck of a lot of air through. It enough that it'll suck a peice of paper to the grill of the XJ. lol

    Upgraded cooling system still overheating?

The radiator is the original renix style but I added the newer upper radiator hose and inserted a radiator filler tee into the upper hose. The t-stat is a stock style t-stat, but I was thinking of getting a Robert Shaw or Stewart/Shaw (a modified Robert Shaw t-stat). So you're saying that the...

    Upgraded cooling system still overheating?

Thanks for the replies guys! This is my second new radiator cap so I'm guessing this isn't it. When I did the head gasket, I had to take 14 thousands machined off the head to make it flat. I didn't use new head bolts because these all looked brand new, plus none of them had any paint on...

    Upgraded cooling system still overheating?

Yeah, I burp the system every time I add coolant. I added a newer t-stat housing with the sensor, which I use as a burping method. And I also have the coolant back flush tee in there that I burp from as well, so I know that it gets burped good. I even squeeze the lower radiator hose to pump...

    Upgraded cooling system still overheating?

I was told that the head gasket was probably blown so I changed it out, when I inspected the old one, it seemed perfect. The hottest the motor ever got was the line after the middle line on the gauge. The radiator cap? Its a brand new Stant iirc.

    Upgraded cooling system still overheating?

No, is there a tool/gadget that can check that?

    Upgraded cooling system still overheating?

I have an '87 XJ Wagoneer with the 4.0, NP242, AW4, 30" tires and 3.55 gears for starters. I have updated the cooling system to the newer open cooling system. During that update I installed a newer style heater control valve, radiator filler neck, all-aluminum radiator, 16lb radiator cap...
