located in maine 89 xj lerado,4.0 auto,re 3.5 front springs with 1.75 spacer and re lower arms,4.5 in re rear spring packs with 1 in shackle lift, ford 8.8 from a 2003 explorer with disk brakes, 4wd adj track bar,i am keeping the swampers and winch, this is a great starting point or everything...

i have 3.5 springs and 2 in spacer in the front with stock arms it rides rough but goes ok, but i hardly ever drive it on the road

if its just for offroad buy the cheepest one you can that has a 4.0 and spend the money on lift and a ford 8.8 rear end from an explorer.and when it dies just get another one and swap the parts ;)

i have an 89 4.0 with 4:10's and 33's and i get 8mpg :eek:

just to let you know re4.5 packs and a 1.25 shackle gave me 7 in of lift and it hasnt settled in over a year

superwinch epi9.0 the best winch for the money mine pulls like a mule and its fast too

i had a 242 in my cherokee and beat the snot out of it , than when i blew it up i went with a 231 because i could get one alot cheeper

the wires are for the abs just leave them thare, iam running 33 in swampers with 4;10's and it seems to be fine except for maybe very slow crawling but if i was to regear it would be to 4;88 since i dont drive it on the street

the superwinch pulls like a mule and it wont let u down, mine just pulled a downed pine tree up an embankment and i couldnt figure out why i had such a hard time till i got it to the top and found out i was pulling the whole root system with it it was still attached to the groung LOL

i was thinking about putting a hole in the floor and making a shock hoop inside the jeep anyone ever do this? if so any pics

my heep measures 10" x 16" for a shock measurement when flexed, and no one makes anything close that i can find :confused1 and i dont want to muve the mts back down below the axle
