to me it looks like you were having a hard time seeing the puddle as the weld went in. like others have said concentrate the heat on the thicker material, and watch your tow lines (edge of weld) make sure they are where you want them. remember metal is forgiving, if you dont like it grind it out...

just a quick safety question, is that the coolant return line going right through the foot well? to me that is a serious burn potential, more so if you have a warrior that has loss of feeling in their leg.
