you cant hack off the cast mount, its actually cast as part of the tube so when your looking at that diamond shape that IS your axle tube.

ive got the hurst shifter. they say its for an xj but on the box it says yj.... feels pretty good so far

how thick of metal would you weld to your unibody, specifcly in the area around the crossmember where it looks thicker. would 1/4 be to much?

sounds like a breather hose. it keeps normal pressure inside the diff and allows it to "breathe". its probably zap strapped up to your firewall somewhere.

i bought a transfercase from a 00' xj with an sye in it from a buddy of mine. his xj was an 88 but he had the whole 2000 running gear installed into it. now my question is his xj used the cable for the speedometer readout, and mine uses the electric speedo readout . how hard is it to swap these...
