I wanted to fix a few big dents and a crack in the door of the XJ (bondo, dent puller) but the main problem is that it would be impossible to match the factory paint. So...since the XJ is already ugly, figured might as well try something....using a couple cans of BBQ spraypaint, lol. It looks...

hilfts are better off inside the rig. If you're gonna leave it out in the weather, better be RELIGIOUS about greasing/maintaining it. They're dangerous enough in good shape, and even moreso if they're rusty and don't slide/lock correctly.

It would be pretty basic I would think. As for me, I just cut the wires off. I don't need to move the mirrors often, if ever. And if I do, it's not difficult to reach out the window to do it :)
