Was at the yard today looking for an 8.8 and saw a strange looking axle under an Isuzu Trooper, not a Dana 44. Looks like a Ford 9" sorta. Removable third member and disk brakes. After a little computer searching when I got home, I think they call it a Isuzu corporate 12 bolt. Anyone know much...

So running a switch from pin 26 (dark blue wire) to pin 12 (white wire) will power solinoid 2? I don't know why I'm having such a hard time getting this..... Shawn

If it will just set off the light, I can handle that.... This will turn on solenoid A.... Will I still need to power solenoid B? If I want it to stay in 2nd right? SD

I actually got the title a bit wrong... I want to lock it into 2nd gear. I hate when driving in 1-2 gear while in 2nd and having to slow up for something and having the tranny drop into 1st, it is very irritating. I would like to lock it into 2nd until I get to an obstacle that I need 1st. I...

I want to do this mod, but can't find any info on how to do it on a 2000 XJ. I can find that it will turn on the check engine light, but not what wires to connect to on the TCU. Anyone have any info? Thanks, Shawn

I had planned to do the 8.8, but some recent reading about the taco got my attention. I saw the TJ D44 with a low price so I thought I would check it out. I am going to stay away from the TJ, I don't seem to be gaining much over what I already have, (C8.25 29 spline, 4.56 gears, alloy shafts and...

I was going to add disc brakes the the c8.25 but since I was building a new front axle I thought I would like to go to 4.88s with the 35s. I thought $150 was not bad, but just was not sure about the build. I don't want to skimp if it would be better to get a 44 out of an XJ, or maybe 8.8 or taco...

I'm looking for something to replace my c8.25 29 spline. I want to run 4.88 gears. The one out of the TJ is like $150. I know the front 44s are a glorified 30s, just was not sure about the rear. Sounds like I should keep looking? Shawn
