Mine still work (1988 XJ Limited). Had to change out the driver side motor a while back. One of the wires broke off inside the motor, so I couldnt solder it back. Ya I understand that, tighten the belt MORE so that it puts more pressure againts the pulley.

I have never had to use a screwdriver. Just tighten the belt up real tight, so it wont slip. When breaking the nuts loose it helps to use quick torq as I will call it. Like an impact driver but with your hand. If you just try to pull on the wrench gradually it will spin. Bloody knuckles are cool.

The shroud wont come off without the fan coming with it. At least on my 88 I6 thats the case. I see you have Renix era jeeps too, How was that possible?

Hey AJ make some Unibody Stiffeners with your great pricing. T&T is the only place I know that makes them, and thats the only option other than fabbing up your own. I think it would be a good addition to your sliders.
