Well, in my case, it was simply a bad alternator. I hope this helps anyone searching in the future.

Hey all, The grocery getter died on my wife last night and when I checked the CEL, it threw a 41 code. "Fault in charging system or no field current." Am I just looking at a bad alternator or something more involved? Any help will be appreciated, I [B]hate[B] electrical problems! Thanks, Bill

Sounds exactly like a problem w/my 92 sport I had several years ago. A wise Jeep mech. told me to clean all the grounds first and then do the throttle position sensor. The grounds had little affect but the TPS took care of it right away. Replace it, I think you'll be happy with the results.

Has anyone tried one of the Aussie Lockers that XJCHUCK72 found. The price sure seems attractive. Any love/hate stories? Bill

If I remember right, my fix for the back seat was a little electrical tape over the pin. It drove me nuts when we bought it used with 90K. It hasn't squeaked since (170k now). Of course for the last 6 yrs its had a car seat or two back there! Thanks for the rattle tips, I'll let you know...

If one where to mess around and make his own coil spacers, what would the correct ID and OD be? Anyone have a pair and a tape measure lying around? Thanks, Bill

After fixing a case of DW (Thanks Eagle) and getting a nice set of quiet KOs, the loudest noise in the Jeep is a rattle coming out of the rear hatch area. I thought there was a common problem back there, but couldn't find anything when I did a search. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Bill:confused:

Danny, My '92 has the same buzz on the drivers side. When I removed the windshield trim to paint it, I discovered one to the retaining clips was not engaging the trim piece. It is the one at where the vertical and horizontal pieces connect and I think it gets wind in there and they vibrate...
