yeah mine see some mud which doesn't help and the roads up here in maine see a tone of salt and sand in the winter which corrodes everything. I'm not sure if thats a big issue but I don't know how well the seals actually work on the bearings.

Yeah I got the $100 ones from Napa and I just return them for new ones before the one year warranty is up. Its motivation to go through them in less than a year. Plus my 3.5" backspacing and 35's help.
Well I would call TNT and make sure you had the right size bolt to begin with. Maybe they sent you the wrong size bol to begin with, probably not but there has to be some explanation for why that bolt broke.
If I were you I would add some fish plates between my frame rail and front stiffeners. The way they are in the picture puts a lot of stress on the seam between the two.
Go with a Ruffstuff cover with countersunk holes. I think you should be good. I'll be interested to see if you encounter any breakage with the cryo treated gears. I've promised myself that if my pinion ever eats my ring gear I'll have the next set of gears cryo treated. I was thinking about...
yeah if its single shear then I guess its just fatigue over time. If it was double shear then theres something else wrong with the bolt or the bracket or the way it was installed or something.
