Cut the stock ones off, take a spray paint can trace it on the mount as close to the bottom as you can, cut along line, weld onto axle.
Takes all of an hr to do.
I have them on my little 91 JeepSpeed Jeep. Lot more vibs, but unless your wife is driving it who cares.
But they have been hammered on for a year now and held up great. Just dotn tighten the bolt through the bushings down too tight (instructions even tell you this).
Bent shafts typically will cause some weird brake wear, Id check the pads (but i dont know about that with rear disc). It might just be Aussie not wanting to fully admit fault.
Were the teeth just broken off the locker?
little 110v welder sometimes do a lot better welding to the thin unibody. We picked up a cheap little Lincon 100 just for welding sheat metal, b/c none of the other welders had the adjustability for the much thinner stuff.

You can get away with it. My friends running a tall 8" lift with a stock rear drive line. He had to grind out the cardian joint to gain a little clearence for flex. He didnt have vibrations untill about 75. It does stress u-joints a lot more, but carry spares. I would still recommend a sye, but...

They are double bead locks stock. You can recenter then to almost any lug pattern. You can buy about 30 different rock rings for them. 2 kinds of run flats. Only down side at all is they are 16.5" rims
