I'm not sure if this will help in your situation, but I replaced the factory pins with ones that I could remove by hand. Now I can quickly disassemble my 60" high lift to make it fit in the Jeep with no problem.
I'm on Optima battery #3 and it will probably be the last Optima battery that I buy if it lasts for less than two years like the others have. We will see...
I'm running a fullwidth Waggy 44 up front. I didn't cut it down, used Dyna Trac brackets (with rubber UCA inserts), and I used all Ford outers for a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern.

For you Dana 44 front guys:
A 1995 Dodge 2500 4x4 pitman arm fits on the stock XJ steering box. It is extra thick, has a bunch of drop, and has more throw. It'll bring you back to a tight turning radius.

No pics to show, but I grabbed some ZJ power leather seats from the JY. We cut off the old front mounting brackets, welded on new ones, bolted them to the floor, and ran power to them. They work great!
