I dont have much tuning experience with jeep computer tuning, I do with gm, so here is my best guess at your questions. O2 sims post cat should work as they just feed a generated signal to the computer that a normal operating O2 would. The post cat 02s are generaly only used to check to see if...
I wouldnt say torque converters exactly but the 700R4/4L60E are known for failures that require rebuilds. For example I had 3 camaros and 7 transmissions between all of them 2 700R4s and 5 4L60s
The tranny from the 4.3 will bolt directly to a old school sbc. It will bolt to the 5.3 minus the top bolt if I remember right. Then you need either a spacer for the converter or a converter built for a sbc 700r4/4L60 to LSX. I would get the harness and ecm from the donor vehicle 5.3/4l60 and...
I know this is a bit too late but GM rocker arms are bad about failing and spitting thier bearings into the oil pan. The side bearing seals are weak and rupture. Its pretty common and sounds like a lifter going bad. If you colapsed all the lifters you would know it lol.
My x had a grand am that did the same thing. It was her blower resistor the 1 2 and 3 pathways were fried and it was only working on the 4th pathway. I dont know if the Xjs use something similar but it was cheap and easy to replace.

Asuming all other variables are equal the real reason that a engine with a longer stoke will make more torque is due to mechanical advantage over the crank not compression. The longer connecting rod length gives more leverage over the crank pin than a shorter connecting rod if the energy behind...
