Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Thank God Utah isn't run by the same kind of trash like Governor Polis ... I didn't realize they had opened the Anytime fitness centres up in salt lake city two weeks ago ...Jared Pillow Biter Polis still has much of Colorado shut down as of Today while Utah was open couple weeks ago... Anyone notice the States under democratic leadership are taking the longest to reopen and let business start up ?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Woke up this morning in Salt lake city went to ...THE GYM...then got a shower. Unfortunately I'm headed back to Colorado and my days off will be spent with these things still kept out of reach by our Governor. Of Colorado.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Ya republican states like Texas are doing great after (early) reopening...

Or not

You "think" you had it... And beat it.. Thats great... Its not about you. Its about who you may pass it to who DOESNT beat it. If your creed is survival of the fittest then so be it... But this isnt a conspiracy nor is it a joke.

I generally dig your posts, and in no way am I trying to be combative... But I like CO... I like Polis. And the clear rebuttle to your feelings is sumply- move to Utah then???

The places taking this serious have a lower death rate. Ask NY about how fake it is?

One of my alltime fav football players is fighting for his life, Dexter Manly... Not even a senior at like 63. That sucks.

2 friends of the family dead.
Thats real death

Most dont challenge you about your stance, so I accept any blow back yall may have for me. But I cant just read your rants and say nothing man... Im frontline and in peoples homes... And it is no joking matter to me.
/rant off
Peace. Love. Stay safe...

That potential of spreading a disease to someone who gets severely sick has existed every flu season and you yourself have been going about your life every flu season haven't you ?

The pandemic became a pandemic when the predictions for fatality were rolled out by idiot Neil Ferguson . He doesn't have great track record for even being remotely in the ball park ... his mortality predictions include the first sars cov-1. Mers, swine flu and the bird flu...millions were supposed to die from bird flu and to date only a few hundred have...

Ol' Neil's modeling of the lock down for the u.k. were based on his less than accurate ramblings...meanwhile as citizens were on lock down based on his ramblings he was having his girlfriend over to bang he had the virus so did she neither were seriously sick , but apparently ol'neils didn't think his end of the world sky's falling was really happening because he did not follow his rules...He then predicted we would see ... 2.2 million deaths , so some reason we jumped on this fools numbers and started the pandemic.

80%plus get sick with sars cov-2 and it's just a cold mild to moderate... this means in reality it's no more fatal than the flu you've been living with for years and potentially spreading to those that might develope viral pneumonia and die ... 60k yearly sir die from the flu.

Fun fact...getting sick is a potential reality every day you live and you can't escape this . I have known 6 people with the virus none were seriously sick ...and that fits the stats.

If the news broadcasted the weekly death rates for the usual flu season you would probably feel the same about the flu as you do cov-2 .

Anytime someone close to you dies you feel a loss ,However people do die every day that you don't know from disease...that again is life ... you can't avoid this risk while being alive.

Not trying to say I don't care about people getting sick and passing I'm just being realistic about the big picture .

I may have had this in February I may not have had it ...I don't know, so keep in mind I'm 45 years old and have just as much chance as anyone of average health to get the shit end of the stick when it comes to this or any disease, so my perspective isn't from one of being detached from risk.

And Colorado was a Red state it's being changed due to people moving here that had different ideas ...lol...maybe Jared Polis should move to California and many of his constituents move back to the Ststes they left ...lol...

No hard feelings you have you view and opinion I have my view and opinion... that's part of our constitutional rights;-)

Re: The Colorado BS thread

This ain’t the flu man... the mortality rate is similar, OK... the transmitting or transfer rate of Covid is waaaaaaay worse then the common flu though. That’s the issue.

I’m confident I’d beat it... but the whole point is carrying it and passing it to someone who won’t beat it. It’s not just for you or your safety, it’s all about protecting those who may not.

Again the flu ain’t this.

Compare it to SARS, where the death rate is much higher- BUT the transfer rate lower.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t get flu vacs, and not do my kids most years. I’m a firm believer of letting the body take care of things and boosting the immune system... this ish is mutating and a huge unknown. The way it’s impacting kids is barely being scratched in what we know.

Had the country shut down sooner lives would have been saved.

Until we know more caution is the best answer

Re: The Colorado BS thread

*and that in this day and age NO ONE KNOWS the truth- as it isn’t even fully discovered. Fake news from both sides, exaggerating, under reporting... it’s impossible to actually know anything beyond any doubt unless you are a scientist looking for a cure dissecting this thing in a lab.

I wouldn’t call it ignorance- people are entitled to think and feel a certain way. Opinions aren’t facts though... and the truth probably is somewhere in the middle of left and right, as with a lot of things.

I question customers who Fox News all day are in the late 80s and don’t wear a mask when I have to come in to the home.. ignorant? Nah; misinformed? Absolutely.

In other news I’m in the market for shocks... 35s 5.5” lift mid arms... looking pretty hard at bilstein 51##s

Any input on what y’all like and why? Probably doesn’t need it’s own thread as I know it’s been done many times. Just curious what the CO folks like.

If billies- 5150? 5100? What’s your favorite flavor?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

ignorant? Nah; misinformed? Absolutely.

Kind of the same thing. People tend to take being ignorant as an insult. Telling someone they are unaware or misinformed is no different, it just is more palatable I guess.

I still prefer ignorance, as most people will take whatever they heard on their favorite news source, be it Fox News or CNN and then preach it to everyone else as gospel. Civilized discourse is not really a thing in this country anymore. Which to me is a lack of intelligence and why I prefer ignorance as the descriptor of the general populace.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Sound logic... Regarding the masses, you wont get any argument from me with that label.

I tend to think of ignorance as Not informed (at all)... Where as Misinformed is informed- no matter how incorrect the information may be... More fault lies with the source instead of the one trying to learn. Now accepting everything at face value certainly fits the criteria of being ignorant. Ignorance in the sense of unknowing would actually be better some times! No feelings attatched to the false information.. No argument.. Yuh know how the saying goes- "ignorance is bliss". LOL

Symantics aside, I tend to agree... Just think that misinformed would be different then uninformed aka ignorant.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

When it comes to billies, the higher the number the better the shock, generally speaking. Never had a complaint about the 5100's though.

Any need to go higher that would be warranted on the XJ? 5150 for example

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I mean... I hate whoopty whoops... and sand racing ain’t my gig...

That said, I’m definitely known to “just send it silly” on occasion! LMAO

And why’s behind that?

Rebuilding the box is pretty generic. I didn't really follow anything but I'm sure there's tons of info on building one. I also work on cars for a living so I have service info available to me. I too was going to go with a tractor but the psc one looks better built, has heims on both ends, is more what I want. Also when looking at the two I was going to use, the tractor ram had a larger rod size which will give you less force when the ram is retracting (less surface area on the piston). Really it's just preference. The lines and fittings are negligible to me. I will use good hose with serviceable fittings either way.

I hadn’t seen just the ram for sale from PSC it was all 1700$ set ups or at best 750$ for ram and steering gear... did a better search and found the rams for 200$ and under. That’s something I could get in to. What stroke and size are you leaning towards?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I have 5100s on my WJ. Cant really comment on how much better than are than X because the dub is just a different ride compared to the MJ and my old XJ. All in all I'm happy with them. The dub drives great (when its running) and handles awesome both off and on road.

1.5x8. the ram kit with heims is $200 plus free shipping on summit

Re: The Colorado BS thread

My new cables showed up today from Jeep cables, so now I can remove the stock fire hazard stuff .

Also going to be pulling the 18 struts up front and swapping in a set of 16s . The dove nose and going through the hood never happened so the 18s leave only about 4 inches if chrome sticking out... it works but 6-7 would be more ideal with more time spent on the air portion of the 3 stages vs oil right to hydraulic bump...lol... I mean it does soak up the fire roads at 40mpg pretty well with 4 inches but could be better with the 16s and 6-7 ...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Great quality shock that didn't break the bank (in my opinion). I ran several sets across multiple rigs and they never let me down. I think the original set is still on my '99, 15 years later. I am sure they are due for replacement but as far as I know from the current owner they are still operational/no leaks.
