Cam position cmp crank position sensor ckp. I've used the standard brand crank sensor in a pinch but the dealer one is the best. The Napa stuff is pretty much the same as everyone sells.

I don't believe we have a cam position sensor, but the crank position sensor acronym is CPS.

Cam is in the distributor, or called the syncronizer for the 2000+. Honestly every other manufacturer calls their crank sensor a ckp, so that's how I learned it. I swear this is the only place I ever see it called a CPS haha. Pretty much everything has to have some type of cam sensor so the computer knows what stroke the engine is on. If it only had a crank it could be at tdc exhaust stroke or tdc compression stroke.

Yep, totally forgot about the 2000-2001 distributorless version of our 4.0's Cam position sensor in place of the distributor..... :doh:

Anyone ever used/heard/know anything about the coilover shaft bumps? Worth using or waste of money? I have mine tore apart and was wondering if these would be worth putting on. Still trying to figure out how to get bump stops mounted up front with the very limited space.

Seen a few guys split them on hard/fast compressions and they seem to ‘rot’ fast. No personal experience, only second hand, but I wouldn’t substitute them for legit bumps. But better than nothing

The prothane coil inserts I had were splitting and they are probably more durable than these . A set of air umps shouldn't be that hard to find space for if you have a full truss and fully plated frame I have hydraulic bumps in the struts ut I'm still planning on running air bumps in front possibly in back as well there is a ton of room to mount then off the trusses .

I'll pass on them then thanks. I have some bump cans and and some synergy budget "air bumps". I just gotta get the coilovers back together so I can figure out how to fit everything.

I probably should have replaced my power steering pump when I did the new cooling fan after the old cooling fan got the damaged port and spit all the power steering fluid out , which probably took the life outta my pump cause now the steering feels heavy when not moving trying to turn the wheel and the pump whines However it may just be the cooling fan running at same time pulling power from the steering all at idle ... lol... but it's most likely the pump after bleeding out a ciupkevweeks ago... bright side is pumps are cheap unlike the cooling fan and it's eay-ish to reach

I was down off Mississippi and Havana off i-225 delivering to Costco and I spotted 4 Bernie Sanders for president stickers on car windows ... LoL ... When I see these I always laugh thinking the operator of the vehicle must be " touched "... I can't believe Sanders has any supporters let alone anyone willing to advertise the support on their car window.

YES, but Bernie Sanders main platform is communism/socialism and his supporters all want free shit with the idea government should be taking care of them, so while all politicians are full of shit the platforms they stand on says a lot of their supporters , so when I see a Sanders 2020 sticker I see a person who wants hand outs .

Communism is a word that gets thrown around fairly lightly, with few who know what real communism is, largely an unlikely, but pretty favorable way of living. Socialists, well I can't say many true socialist exist. Red or blue they all want your money to for their agenda, these guys don't care about you lol.
I'm with shooter here, bi partisan or not, either side is jam packed to their ears with B.S., but when you say you see someone wanting hand outs, do you see any side of them wanting to make a better country that wants to promote a healthy way of living and makes us better as a whole?


I ask just cause I see these comments here from time to time and I'm curious on occasion as to wether people rationalize their views or simply pick option "x" because that's how they grew up , have always been , and continue to side wherever. Odd creatures of habit we are.


Not looking for arguments, I'm just curious on some opnions if anyone likes to share. It mean for subject matter that's healthy to think about, I like hearing folks out when we're all respectful.

Socialism? We already impart things like the library- why does someone who cant afford college wanting to go mean they want a hand out? College is still work even if its not 70k in loans. Some people werent born with golden spoons- doesnt mean they are beggers.

Go talk with someone who risked their lives, and/or their families lives to escape Russia, or flee from East Germany...that might help solidify things for you. Or, even as of most recently, get out of Venezuela.

People (especially younger ones) these days seem to easily forgot what things are like.

I hear the "we should have open minds"...yeah...open your mind and read history books, talk to people who've been through it, and you'll likely have you thoughts solidified pretty quick.

I'm working with many who have left their home to escape tyrannical oppression, their stories I'll never be able to relate to, but I believe i understand what your saying. Ive heard enough stories to know we do not have it rough in this country. I still sit on a grey line watching this stuff waning through policy makers decisions. I guess we can only do the best we can with what we've got.

I certainly agree with you that the younger crowd does not have a good grasp on the world, to interested in dub step and bong hits I guess, idk..... I see this daily to, it's quite worrisome really.

I'm not too young, nor too old, but maybe old enough to be bothered by the stuff we see when reading between the lines. Make no mistake about it, I say we are a damn Fourtunate people on this rock with a damn comfortable living, and we are surrounded by patriots that intend on keeping it this way.
I suppose having an open mind is all in perspective, we all see the world a little differently, even if mostly the same.

On a lighter note, I need to replace the trans line from my lower radiator output. Is it pretty standard to replace the plastic dealy that holds the line into the trans while doing This?

Here's a lighter note. I was sitting on my porch reading, I do that a lot. A two-door red XJ pulled up with some kid I didn't recognize driving. Since I've been missing my two-door for a while, my first thought was, is someone making my day??? The kid had on a high visibility vest, and opened the hatch on the jeep, and I saw Amazon packages. I was rather surprised, as I see a lot of badged Amazon vans in my neighborhood, and the plain white ones also. The jeep was rather beat. I went to get the package from him, and saw that his passenger taillight was busted, and remembered that I had one sitting around. I got it for him. He was kind of flabbergasted, but I think he really was into the Cherokee, and maybe he'll find .

Nothing here was sad in poor taste or out of line. That’s just the political discussion area. If you select further back time frame there are plenty of other posts. Just prevents stuff getting out of hand locally.
