Speaking of work,

So the Amazon building I work in has had its struggles. Mistakes made by engineering and corporate stuff far above my pay grade. These issues have resulted in a year of up hlll battles for our building.

Yesterday my Sr maintenance manager got fired.

Today my maintenance manager got fired

I am now the “acting maintenance manager”



Not sure how I want to go with this. On 1 hand the pay is decent but the demand is absolutely insane. On another hand, I’m wondering in this type of large corporation, is accepting a manager position just moving my head to be the next chopped?

As a mechanic your almost safe. As a mechanic you get paid decent and earn ot.



I’m excited for the opportunity to move up so rapidly. However, it’s a little unnerving to receive 2 promotion in a year.

If you feel like you are in over your head the best thing to do is say so. Unless you think they will fire you for saying so and if that’s the case you need to be looking.

Hell, just work at 50% of your normal ability and that way if you do less you kind of look like you are slacking, but if you do a little more it looks like you are over achieving and you never have to put in 100%.......and use that extra bit of yourself to come up with a diabolical scheme to over take Amazon out of your garage.

Damn how long is the flight delayed? I know a few spots around the corner from Midway. I've been stuck there a few hours after getting dropped off so I took off for some tacos. Ive never racked up that big a tab at an airport, but I did pound 2 lobster sandwiches and 4 or 5 beers in Minneapolis once. Was well over $70

Speaking of diapers, if Elizabeth isn’t potty trained in early 2019 and we are e hoping she is, there could be two in diapers. Nine weeks today, heartbeat strong and baby moving around good. Never been so relieved.
