The state has been emailing me reminders that our registrations were expiring soon. Last one I got said 14 days (15 days ago). I figured they would send me one more warning, they didn't so I renewed one day late....now waiting for stickers driving on expired tags now.

I've got to roll outlaw style today too. Driving TH version 2.0 to work today to get a new windshield installed. No tags or inspection on it yet. I've got 30 days from purchase though so I should be ok unless I get an overzealous cop that's bored.

you're lucky they've not adopted the ohio scheme.

if you're late, they charge you $20 per item. So if you got two or three cars and a license to do and you miss the deadline they're gonna rape you for an extra $100 in late fees.

the first year there was only a 7 day grace period. They got my buddy for an extra $80.
Caused such an uproar that they extended the grace period to 30 days.
Sneaky BMV money scam that first year.

Wisconsin will get you an interest charge if you do it online, and a $2 convenience charge if you do it at a location. After a period of time a $10 late fee on registration.

Went to renew the bike today. Only thing I own registered in NC. No wait, super nice lady. Forgot to renew the inspection, so came back home.

I hate states with inspections.
