Important

pretty sure they make you lease the phone now and I don't want to pay $20 a month for a phone. I upgraded when they offered a free phone or a big discount when you re signed your contract

Yes they do. I had my 4s for 3 years and finally upgraded to a 5s in January because my wife needed a new phone. Call your carrier, we ended up with 2 new phones and 1gb more data per month for $5 more a month than we were paying.

I kept my 4s in a Lifeproof case the entire time I had it and it is still in mint condition. Basically worthless, but in mint condition :D

just ordered the new iphone se for free. now to find a lifeproof case for it. :D

i just got the S7. seems good. upgraded from the S3.

my phone was free. my unlimited everything plan is $30 a month plus all the taxes and fees. I've had the same line since it was Nextel and I was in high school.

Lifeproof went to shit when otterbox bought them.

Great. I just bought one on amazon. Is there a good case out now that is like the old life proof? I've had my current 4s lifeproof for two years and its just now starting to fall apart

I get 6-12 months out of a Lifeproof case. First replacement is free if you register the case and it falls apart in a year. Then I keep track of replacement case and usually get one warrantied from it.

mac 'love the waterproofing ' gyvr

We pay $2/month. Fine print is if you jack you phone up you have to replace it....I have a lifeproof for my six and it's falling apart

My phone is an AT&T land line rotary phone, but for $1.99 per minute I can be a dirty talking whore on it.......who am I kidding, I do that for free .

I finally came to the realization that I destroy any and every case in a few months time. So I run caseless now. Eff it. Life proof and otter box fail me in no time at all.

I don't use a case at all. I have shattered the screen a couple times but that's why I pay for insurance. I hate the weight and looks of a big bulky case. I hate the way screen protectors look and feel. I just like the phone the way it came.

I'll be in the market for a new phone in a couple months but I may not even do it. Right now my phone is mint and I'm grandfathered in the old school unlimited plan from 10yr ago. I just looked at my bill a few days ago and I think I used 49gigs. That'll be a hefty price if I have to sign a new plan.

my otterbox cracked my screen on my current phone. i won't be making that mistake again.

i've been a verizon customer for 16 years and have probably averaged about 1.5 destroyed phones per year. Used to be higher, but every since i started carrying a smart phone i'm a lot more careful. i have the droid maxx now. phone has been just fine other than the glass being fragile. i was a lot harder on my last smartphone (LG) but the glass was a lot thicker.

I just figured out I need another phone so I can call and locate my phone when the wife's not around with her phone...

As long as I don't lose it, plan to keep my S5 for a long time. Only upgraded from the S3 for the better camera, would need one with a seriously better camera, with expandable memory, and removable battery, for me to consider upgrading again.
