Important

Menards has them in stock, I have hauled 12' deck boards before in the truck (flag and ratchet tied to not move).

With a 6' bed and 12' lumber, the center of the board, and half of its weight, is still in the truck. With a 20' board, the center and most of the weight is behind the truck. Not good.

Got to get some treated 2x6's for the deck at the house this week before Sarah and her parents stain the deck. I want to get one long piece for one side, but if I do I have to get a 20' long one. It is legal to have 14' of a board hanging out back of a 6' bed of a truck? If I do it, I plan on putting a warning flag on it but I am a bit apprehensive over having that much hanging off (driving hazard for other drivers and weight). I could put the tail gate down so it isn't high in the air but still as long. Or I could do as the building did have get two short pieces and have it smaller lengths.

20' baseboard for the shop

Thought about putting one of my sets of J racks for my kayak, my only worry would be no support up front for the front end of the board..

you would need a support up front for 20' boards, the support I made is mounted off the front reciever hitch

That's a nifty setup, I may have to add that to my list of front bumper attachments when I have to go pick up a stack of 16 foot 2x12s in a few weeks.

Decided to work most of this labor day weekend...

Taking it off work last year was not a good idea...

mac 'and I need moab money' gyvr

My Labor Day weekend ends Sunday at noon; rotation starts back up just in time to work a bunch of DUI crashes.

Pulled the trans/t'case from the 2 door today, axles and suspension next. I hope to have the title to the 95 Sport soon. It won't be as clean of a mall crawler as Dan's, but good enough for the wife to drive :D

My plans are to work on the deck at the house in the morning and then drive around a dirt track for an hour or so and then watch the race.

Sunday I am volunteering in the childrens area at church for both morning and evening

Monday I work..... for $28 an hour.

Going to see kid rock at the world/tweeter/firstmidwest/whateveritscalledthesedays. i hear he puts on a good show. hope so but either way got a baby sitter till tomorrow afternoon!
