Streetable and inspected are two different things. I never had my XJ inspected on the one-tons and I put almost 3k street miles on it before it was too haggard by my standards. :laugh:

But yeah, liability won't cover you offroad anyway. You'd get laughed out of a policy if you tried to file a claim based on anything that happened in the woods, especially if they send an adjuster out to look at what they're actually insuring.

I'll have the new rig insured for liability also, but only to cover driving it on the street.

Well let's put it this way, I have no idea if the thing is "streetable". Sure I would definitely try it if I didn't think I would get pulled over immediately. I really don't want to deal with that.

But I don't think there's a need to have it registered/insured if there's no way I'm going to be able to drive it on the road anyway.

put some street tires on it and go to the inspection shop near my parents, the kid who works there DD a 4runner with an exo cage if you want to go liegit else billy knows a guy that will hook you up

In structural terms, that style is called a tension truss. Would have been better suited on the bottom of the axle.

In this case, it was only done because the guy wanted a tension.
