Anyone going to be able to fit me in for goatfest for some trail runs? Jeep wont be ready and i want to run some trails. Thanks

Well, I just got my official Hall Pass to come to GoatFest, so I'll be there. I am coming alone, so I do have an extra seat.

This will be my first Goatfest, and also the first trip out for the Heep with the new motor and trans, so I may be taking it pretty easy on the trails. I also need to keep the beast in one piece because I HAVE to make it back alive to Las Vegas via Death Valley on Sunday to pick up my wife from the LAS airport, or face death or worse.

But, you're welcome to a seat.

I have a seat but not hiting up any trails. If you want to say oh s&*^ a few times i'll take you for a ride.

BTW came pick the long arms up and help me get the jeep ready!

What's with the use of the "R" word? :twak:

Agreed. I flinched so violently it woke the dog up from his nap.

I also can make room for up to 3 folks that are not allergic to dogs in my rig, if necessary. I'm not doing the Hammer trails on 31s & 1 locker, and my "not much power steering at idle" PS pump won't let me past the gatekeeper at LBJ.

I will be, if anything, "leading" a "scenic" run. Which is basically--plug in camp coords into a couple GPSs, and drive away for a while. Wander, get lost, back track, end up in a couple spots that may tax (but not break) the limits of a stock rig, or stay on virtual fire roads.

The first time I did a Scenic Run, 2 years ago, someone (Karstic) was out exploring & was kind enough to provide "in flight entertainment" for my group, and I later biffed a fender because my dog was my copilot & he sucks at spotting. Last year, we ended up going DOWN the gatekeeper to Aftershock, with accurate spotting assistance from Mike Finch (Willy 51). I am not a spotter, so where we go & what we tackle may very well depend on how competent someone else is at spotting.

Maybe I'll drag some folks out to Giant Rock. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_Rock, roughly 34.33275° -116.3888°.

Hey, it's okay being known for features that are almost geographic in nature. I'm alright with that...
