just scored these

what is the difference between thes and the ones acos sells?

A proper bump stop.
A way to attach them to the bump tower.
A way to lock the adjusting ring into place.
A poly isolator.
The thickness of the upper ring.
JKS upper ring sits flush to the body. Doesn't look like these can without modifying the upper ring.
The thread count of the tube.
I would also guess the quality of the material, but don't know.

With the proper amount of abuse, like on a landing, if one failed and dropped one side of Your Jeep it could be bad. I said "Careful" for a reason, to Me They don't look designed for off road use. IMHO

Man i had high hopes for you bail. I was thinking we could turn you into a wise offroader, but now i don't know. Get the real stuff dude, these can hurt you and your family. One would think thats not a good thing.

I know i wouldn't put these on my jeep, i would wait and save my money to buy the good stuff just so i know my family is safe.

Fo real son!

Looks alot like the paper thin aluminum "sleeve overs" my friend wanted installed on his civic. Fortunately we were able to install them dialed all the way down, so only the lock rings were in compression.

If you want coil overs, buy coil overs

I was thinking lift kit for a first grader's tricycle.

I am worried about two things:

1. Since there is no locking ring, how well is your suspension going to handle being cycled through?

2. With no bump stop, they could make direct contact with other suspension parts, either causing them to deform over time or simple shatter, which would very likely unseat your coil.

Come to think about it, maybe we should let him go through with it just so we can see the awesomeness that will ensue.

I once got something like this for my Honda CRX. When they came, i decided against using them. They are awful, I wouldn't trust a 2000lbs street car on them and I'd NEVER trust a Jeep on them. ESPECIALLY off road.

Sorry, no sarcasm in my remarks. I'd really like to see if they work.

And i'm getting a little tired of the six year old in china bit....did you guys not read that they were made by a friend of his at a shop? You guys are way too into hating right now....step back from your keyboards and get a blowjob or something.

And don't give me this BS that you're looking out for the guy and don't want to see him get hurt...if one of these faails it will more likely than not just drop that side of the jeep a couple inches, not the end of the world. He doesn't have to go out and jump the piss out of it the first day....he can be gentle and see how they do, then progressively get harder on them while observing there performance from trip to trip.

One issue is the kid seems to want to go in the direction of Jeepspeed stuff. I somehow don't think these will work that way.
