Knucklehead's blog

since i am creatively challenged, i am open to suggestions for a good name for the red p.o.s.

as for fixing the hydro, i was already planning on either rotation the ram up 90* to protect the lines or swapping it out to full hydro with a tube cage to protect it.
i guess i could add the tube cage to the single end ram some how, never seen that done before though...

How about the fun machine its fun to drive right and you don't care about Fing it up right. Plus your shop is Tim's fun house

a few of us :NAXJA: types made a trip to Hollister today.
Jax & I got to beat on the red rig a bit. only minor carnage, tore off the rear anti wrap ladder bar from the rear housing, some paint scratches, lots of lost tranny & power steering fluid, unseated a bead, & had a weird electrical problem (total electrical system death for a few minuets then all power magically came back on) , but all in all it was a fun trip.

Think you need to post up some pictures of the work we completed on the X swamp runner today. I never paid you for my lunch today so I owe you lunch thanks so much for letting us use your shop this weekend to work on my bucket of bolts and also letting me hang around and bug you today.

long weekend, i need to go to work tomorrow so i can rest!
thanks to crazymoose1990 for coming back over today to help tear apart my junk.
we got the sliders off, pulled out the dana 60 front axle assemble (that MF'er weighs a TON!) pulled both transfer cases out & tore them apart. i need to order some small parts so i can fix a few things then put the cases back together. woooo, fun!

i thought you had to in order to pull the transfer case...or...it makes it a TON easier to fab & install frame reinforcement plates with it out of the way. also, i need to check out all the long arm ends & hardware. i want to replace the wimpy Rusty's track bar setup with a stronger design. also need to modify the brake caliper mounts, install a ruffstuff cover, etc. etc. & it will just be easier with the axle out.

Anytime time that kind of stuff is what I call fun even thouhg my body is telling me something totaly diffrent. Let me know when your ready for reinstall or need some help moving that front axle around I really don't think its safe to move on your own. :)

& had a weird electrical problem (total electrical system death for a few minuets then all power magically came back on) , but all in all it was a fun trip.

I have had this happen to me a few times. I am not 100% sure what it is but I think it has something to do with the Batt cables. If you find out could you just p.m me so I can fix it. Still is a sweet ride though dude.

If i ever figure out how to post pictures on here I will post up some pictures of this weekends thrash on the Jeep's.
