I am a homeless and unemployed vet. Last interview I had lined up with a security company called and cancelled as I was checking my bags in the airport. These fuukers knew I was flying out for it too. At least I have one hell of a bad ass jeep to sleep in. If you see a Green 98 on 33 MTR's and an Airflow tooling around the P.N.W. give me a honk. Good thing I didn't waste all the time I was in, since I've got my B.S. in Business Management. So what was your M.O.S. and why don't you start using your G.I. Bill?

I'm so sick of listening to whiners say "whoa is me, I'm a poor homeless vet" It makes me sick. Get a frigging life and and use some of those life skills the Army supposedly gave you, and do something besides whine.

I am by no means independently wealthy, but hell, I own my own house have 4 vehicles and I'm looking to buy a motorcycle as soon as the weather gets shitty and people start selling cheap. I make over 70k a year, and I have about the best job security out there, with great benefits as well.

I would consider yourself lucky. Most hi tech companies Hire and Dump people on a quarterly basis.

What "tech" are you involved in? Are you with an MSP our outsourcing firm?

My long term career plans definitely involve getting out of hi tech and into a sustainable low tech industry.

Due to your sarcasm and passive aggressive questioning I’m going to assume you’ve made some great career choices.
But, to answer your question, I work for a wireless broadband company that developed WiMax and is the world leader in 4G technology. Going on three years now and I get sent everywhere to build out our network. The downfall is the amount I have to work when I’m not in my home market and not being able to see my kids as much (I’ve been in Chicago since last Sunday and I’m already at 161 hours). As our network grows, so does our headcount. Win, win.

I work at a local Shop and we are killer busy just me and the boss, cant keep up. Everybody is fixing their old rusted out piles of garbage, makes the jobs tougher but the money keeps rolling in so we are happier than pigs in slop!hone: god damn phone keeps ringing cant get anything done!

I support anyone that would choose to join the military. It sounds odd to say, but I think the world would be a better place if more people went through boot camp.
