What do you do at work?

I am a maintenance worker for local school district.:helpme:

17 years old and i work at an auto repair that my dad owns...

run parts
work on the computer
do brakes
mount and balance tires
i handle all the jetski stuff... rebuilding the motors, replacing the motors, anything 2 stroke i end up doing.

we also do towing... and we get lots of calls for stuck jeeps that always end up 600 feet back in a soft farm field buried. we had to build a special truck for offroad recovery... its an 86 f350 with a carb'd 460 4wd and a b&b back end on it.

I work on Avionics systems in corporate jets... You know, the airplanes that the biggest user of corporate aviation in the world, Mr. Obama, (think Air Force One, and all his Helicopters), tells the public are a completely unnecessary expenditure!

I work at Discount Tire.... Pleasing all the assholes.

Welcome to the wonderful world of tires. Im actually a MTS at a tire factory.. Been busting my balls for 6 years doing tires and mechanic work. Now I sell the crap out of tires... Feels good deligating work and sitting behind a counter in the A/C

I destroy headlamps & taillights. JIM.

I usually parked over in lot five right by the entrance. My ZJ was lifted on 33's, and had a decent exhaust. Also had lights on the roof so it stuck out pretty well.

What does your XJ look like?

I ride my motorcycle to work daily. Every other thursday I take my XJ cause I can't carry 40lbs of dog food on my bike HAHA. I've seen a black ZJ parked close to gate 6, was that your's?

But actually I am a "Master Air Brake Technician" and that entails rebuilding all of Norfolk Southerns locomotive air brakes.

I run a retail parts store directly at the end of the tracks-- Norfolk Terminals.

thank you for doing your job well-- I really don't want to try to pull one of those locomotives out of the sales floor anytime soon!!:eeks1:

I teach people to drive trucks.
Im very surprised that I like teaching because Ive never liked people and I dont particularily like driving trucks, but put the two of them together and I feel right at home... Go figure....

I remember in basic training, they told us "if anyone asks you what you do in the US Air Force, just say 'I kill people'"

Really, that's what we do in the military, as a whole. Doesn't matter if you're a recruiter, weapons guy, cook, MP/SP, or an IT guy...in the end, our job is to kill the bad guy.

Most of my time is spent in a vault maintaining various types of computer systems and 3-4 different networks (classifications). But I enjoyed working with the Army (Navy, not so much) in the desert. Going back to the sandbox in April for 6 months, will be based out of AUAB again but hope to see even more than I did last time....maybe they'll let me fly on Compass Call or Commando Solo again :D

Yea, well,...
anything designed to work on water probably doesn't work in sand so well :D

sorry, couldn't resist, :gag:

Going back to the sandbox in April for 6 months,
good luck and Godspeed .

I almost joined the Navy, once for ROTC in college and once when I graduated after losing my job during the economic downturn... and sometimes I still wish I had (sometimes = most times). Who knows though.. I guess I cant complain. Right now I do on site failure analysis at one of my companies major customers.. I work for the leading company for enterprise class SSD drives, so yeah, I guess its ok :p
