Parts Cleaner Solvent... what to use??

Easy off oven cleaner...

But in a solvent tank parts cleaner i would use one of the citrus based products...easier on the skin.

That B52 stuff works good, but in concentrate form it will remove your skin.

Diesel fuel and gas have always been the ole' standby for me.

Had to read up on it...sounds like a great solvent as long as you don't touch, inhale, swallow, look at, listen to or come within about 50 miles of it....

evil EE....lol

Low odor mineral spirits works great in the ZEP style parts cleaners.

Most of the parts stores sell environmentally safe cleaners in gallon jugs for those things.

I'm a Chemist at an environmental lab, you guys using TCE, carbon tetrachloride, diesel or gasoline are just making my job more stable, thank you.

(gasoline works really well.)

This is what I use, its cheap and lasts for a long time.

Its not too cheap any more. Its up to 9.60/gal here. but not as bad as 65 for 5 gal of the official parts cleaner at autozone.
