Sierra Fest 2018

Yep leaving either late tomorrow night for the spillway

I’m going to leave up here about one in the afternoon. Should take me about three hours to get there. When is everybody else getting to the spillway?
First time camping on the spillway, whereabouts do people usually gather or camp?

Skipper lou and alan camped like just a little ways into the trail last year. I think thats the plan this year

Ok, I am just going to stay at the SMUD Campgrounds down the road from Loons Lake.

Could be room at the site for one or two more people too.

Have fun on the rubicon everyone. I am still in estes park,co. Fly home monday. Work on finishing rear disc brake swap on tuesday and weds. Might be leaving after work Thursday or cruise up Friday and take my time. Deer valley Friday is a maybe. But slick rock is a for sure.
Have fun,see you all soon.

I will be up Thursday afternoon to hermit Valley. I hope everything is good now with my jeep after spending the day wrenching.

Skipper, glad you got it fixed and got out of there. Where did you break it on the trail?

I broke the axle 1 mile in, right before the slabs.

It was great to wheel with you and your girls. Fun as always. And they were future four wheelers with those remote control rigs they had.

What a great time up there even though some days got to be smoky.

I am so glad that I made the repairs to the jeep and went for the second half of Sierra Fest.

A big part of the clubs gatherings is the camaraderie we all have with each other and getting out into nature in our jeeps.
