Sierra fest 2023 Itinerary.
Fordyce First Half July 31st- August 2nd.
• Monday July 31st 9AM meetup at 39.331470, -120.572640
Leave Fordyce Trail staging 10am.
Make our way through the trail and would like to shoot for camping at the 1st water crossing. If its early enough we could camp further along the trail.
• Tuesday August 1St depart camp and shoot for camping at committee crossing for the night.
• Wednesday August 2nd depart camp and head up to meadow lake for the night. From here it is dirt road out to highway.
Gold Lake/ Lake Basin area August 3rd-August 6th. We have the campground reserved from August 2nd-August 7th for anyone who would like to go early or stay a day late.
• Thursday August 3rd leave meadow lake and head towards Gold Lake area. We have reserved spots at packsaddle campground. 39.371398, -120.509620 . We have spots 2,3,4,5,6,15 and 16 reserved for Naxja. If you need an rv spot check for spots here Packsaddle, Tahoe National Forest - Recreation.gov
• Friday August 4th Don’t think we will have a set trail run this day as some people will be tired from Fordyce and some people wont show up till Friday night anyways.
• Saturday August 5th depart camp no later than 9am and make way towards the snake lake loop. If time allows id like to show everyone the gold lake 4x4 campground on the way down. We will have to keep a good pace so we can get back at a good time for the bbq and raffle.
• Sunday August 6th depart for home!
