Inner C gussets?

For my waggy 44 I will be using a TNT truss but want your opinions on C gussets.

What is more benificial ones that go on the back sides like these..

Or something like these...

Can these go on the top and bottem or will they interfere on the bottom?

Both??? what's your thoughts

I am about to build ones like you have in the first pic. I have seen both and it seems the 44 C's are bigger on the top but both designs are beneficial.

All the Jeepspeed crowd use both inner and outer gussets.

If I was only going to do one, I'd go with the outer gusset. You would have trouble designing a inner gusset that significantly strengthened the "C" around the axle tube hole that didn't cause interference.

i did just the outers , with my inner sleeve kit from iron rock

im really happy with how they came out.

what are you doing? KOH stuff or just rocks or mud?

In will be ran in the rocks, still need to be able to drive it home but I’m graduating in one semester so a truck and trailer will be in the plan so that will probably lead to a little more aggressive driving...

If you take a gander at the coil bucket placement, you'll see that those D44 style gussets are impossible to weld on. The coil spring sits right up against the C on both sides.

Yea I seen that unless you go full width 44s.
