gears and gas mileage seem right???

I know this as been talked bout, but just wondering bout people w/ same setup is gettin on gas mileage. I have a 96XJ 120,000, 5.5 RE, 4.88 gears and 35's. My gas mileage around town is like 11-12mpg. Does that seem right w/ the 4.88 gears? I was assumin' i would be doing better. What are good mods to do to improve gas mileage. Exhaust? Intake? etc...just wondering what other people are doing. hasta

I got an everage of 12-13 with my old 456s and 37s with Banks Headers,Flowmaster Cat Back, and custom intake, sounds about right, maybe a tad low

I get around 13-15. 4.0, AW4, 231 with 4.56, 35's, t.b.spacer, k&n fipk, gutted cat, flowmaster.
