Junkyard Alert! Spare tire carrier, gears?

Has a 1985 4Cyl 4WD Cherokee

Last week it still had the (outside) spare tire carrier. And from what I just read in another thread, that particular setup (4cyl) may have favorable gears. 4.10s? I didn't think that cherokee had much to offer until I read that.

True. All 4cyl xjs have 4.xx gears. 99% with 4.10s, rare ones with auto had 4.56s

ive seen 4cylinders with 3.73s in the JY so make sure you always pop the cover or at least trust the tags...
