Differences between a 93 and 94 XJ?

Hello,

I have a 93 XJ and found a 94 XJ on craigslist that I was thinking of getting for its aftermarket parts and to be used as a parts rig if needed. Are there many differences between the two years that would make it not a viable candidate as a parts rig?

The major components (engine, auto transmission, axles, transfer) can be swapped. Jeep has parts lists that cover '91-'93 and '94-96 XJs so there are some differences, but as you are probably aware, the 1996 has many differences from the 91-95s (e.g., ODB 2). I know that the manual trans models went to an external slave cylinder on the '94s so that is an upgrade. If you get a copy of both the factory parts lists (pdf), then you will have a cross reference between the two vehicles.
