Sierrafest 2023 Gold Lake/Lake Basin Details

We have the pack saddle campground reserved from August 2nd-August 7th for early people or if anyone wants to stay an extra day.
We have spots 2,3,4,5,6,15 and 16 reserved for Naxja.

Trail requirements will be as follows
33's one locker.

Gold Lake/ Lake Basin area August 3rd-August 6th. We have the campground reserved from August 2nd-August 7th for anyone who would like to go early or stay a day late.
• Thursday August 3rd Arrive at Packsaddle campground
• Friday August 4th Don’t think we will have a set trail run this day as some people will be tired from Fordyce and some people wont show up till Friday night anyways.
• Saturday August 5th depart camp no later than 9am and make way towards the snake lake loop. If time allows id like to show everyone the gold lake 4x4 campground on the way down. We will have to keep a good pace so we can get back at a good time for the bbq and raffle.
• Sunday August 6th depart for home!

Do you think the Saturday run will be on pavement or on dirt (green sticker) the whole way? It looks doable on dirt.

At the most 5-8 miles of pavement. From camp to dirt is maybe 2 miles but if we exit at gold lake it is like 5 miles on gold lake highway back down to camp. Ive seen some very not street legal rigs on the pavement so i wouldnt worry about it.
