1) Sheeting angle is all wrong.
2) Too much rake in the rig.
3) Mom made the sail.
4) Draft to far aft.
5) Aspect ratio far too high for a Gaff.
6) Leech is tight.
7) Luff tension to tight for the condx.
8) Ease the Gaff.

Ouch.

Gilligan was a deckhand on a POWERBOAT.

I only do POWERBOATS for surf trips to the Islands, deliveries for those with more money than time or brains, and most enjoyable; predicted log races. I NEVER get lost at sea.

Here goes,

POWERBOATS are for NAVIES, and those that cannot sail..

Open windows media player.

Choose "open url" in the file menu.

Copy and paste this url:
http://www.liracon.com/ron/post/91_102.wmv

This is the DDG 102, and the DDG 91.

DDG = Ageis Missile Cruiser.

This was shot last month during a missilex off the coast where I live, the Pacific Missile Test Center, Point Mugu.

These are brand spanking new. The DDG 102 was built under contract for the Spanish Navy. We sell alot of these boats to foriegn Navies, of course, they don't get the great hardware and software...

We saw some of the launches from over the horizon while anchored at Coches Prietos on Santa Cruz.

These are real POWERBOATS.

PMTC and BARKING SANDS, or go HOME.

PS: That skeleton had more than $20 worth of scrap value. The Chinese just finished 4th Q buys, West Coast scrap went through the roof this month for those with contracts...
