Modified stock engine mounts

I modified some stock engine mounts to be strong like MORE mounts. I used some tube and bushings from a set of Pro Comp lower control arms. First I removed the rubber from the stock mounts. I used a wire brush on a 4 1/4" grinder and it smoked a lot. I removed the rubber from the steel bushings inside the stock mounts so they could be used with the bushings from the pro comp control arms. I welded the tube to the top part of the stock piece, then welded in a 1/4" thick plate for rigidity and added strength. Here are a few pics of the final result:

It was really quite easy, it took about 3 hours to do.

Nice work John. Now lets see how they hold up :D

Nice John.. do you plan on selling any of these? price?

ya price would be awesome cuz the last piece o rubber on mine decided to fly out today so i have no cushion for the poor engine.
